Losing weight A great deal has been written elsewhere and it’s not possible to cover it all in a short article. There is no guarantee that running or walking will definitely cause you to lose weight since it will also depend on calorie intake, but it does make you healthier. Walking and running uses calories and the more of these you burn, the more likely it is that you will lose weight. Don’t go mad though, in time and with enough and the right type of excercise, the chances are you’ll make progress. How do I progress?
- Take regular exercise to burn the calories, running is particularly good for this.
- Don’t diet and exercise, you will only weaken yourself and you will be more likely to do yourself harm and be more likely to give up.
- Eat healthily.
- Build up your capability to do exercise slowly.
- When you get fit enough, 25 – 30 miles per week of relaxed running will give optimal results according to the US National Weight Control Registry. But it is more likely that the more distance the do, the more calories you burn and the more likely you are to lose weight.
